We have gathered together in the sight of God and these witnesses to celebrate the wedding of [Groom] and [Bride].
If anyone present can show just and legal cause why they may not be joined, let them speak now or forever hold their peace.
Marriage is dedication. You give yourself, your life and love, into the hands of the one you love. You do so trustingly and generously. By the same token, each of you receives a gift -- the life and love of the other. You receive this gift not only from the one you love, but also from the parents who brought you into the world and reared you and from the personal world of friends and family who are joined in friendship and faith in your marriage.
Marriage is an embrace of souls -- it is a commitment to surrender to love, to trust in love, and to learn by loving. It enables two separate people to share their desires, longings, dreams and memories, their joys and laughter, and to help each other through their uncertainties.

Divine Creator of all of this wonder, we pray that your love and your joy may flow through us and around us at this time. Shine your light upon [Groom] and [Bride] so that they may give wholly to one another in total joy.

To be loved is to know joy and happiness. To give love is to know the joy of sharing oneself; for it is through the miracle of love that we discover the fullness of life. May God always be with you, protect you, and guide you both, now and forever.
