Wireless Sound:

Unlike most officiants, I have a battery-powered, 117dB public address system with 2 wireless mics (lapel mic for me and handheld mic for any readers that you may have). This system can accomodate groups of up to 1,000. Acoustics are sometimes less than desirable and this will allow all of your guests to hear the ceremony as well as any readings or songs. It is completely self-contained, requiring no electrical source -- your guests will enjoy your ceremony regardless of the location. Also there is a built-in CD player that you may use for your processional and recessional music. There is no extra charge for using this system, but I do ask that you request this in advance.

Rehearsals

I do not attend nor plan rehearsals.

If your ceremony is elaborate enough that you need a rehearsal, I recommend you hire a professional bridal consultant to help you with the rehearsal and also for day-of wedding coordination. I will be happy to perform the basic service for your wedding, and will take my instruction from the bridal consultant on the day of the ceremony. I have an arrangement with Heather Smith, a professional bridal consultant, who will help you plan and conduct the rehearsal for $200. This price does not include day-of coordination. Call Heather at 614-267-6446 and ask for The Marryin' Man Rehearsal Special.

Receptions

I do not stay for the reception.

Outdoor Ceremonies

I believe that in most situations, outdoors should be reserved for more casual ceremonies. For that reason, I wear neither coat nor tie if the ceremony is outdoors from May through September.

Short-notice informal ceremony -- No set price - donations accepted

You may come to my home where I will perform a short ceremony. Short-notice may only be scheduled the same day or one day in advance. This is a very informal setting and I am often dressed in very casual attire. If I'm working around the house I may be in sandals and shorts. Witnesses are not required in Ohio but you may bring up to 2 guests. Click here for directions to my home.

Reserving Your Date

To make a reservation for a specific date, I request a retainer of 50% of the total fee. Please note that this retainer is NOT in addition to the officiating fee. The retainer goes toward the total officiating fee and is not refundable. If for any reason you do not have me perform the ceremony and I receive 7 days notice, you will receive a refund of any monies paid except for the 50% retainer.

Payment

You may pay by cash, check, money order or major credit card. If you prefer to pay by credit card, you may call or e-mail me directly. If you prefer PayPal, just click on the PayPal logo below, and set up a FREE account to send money. Then use my e-mail address (minister@getmarriedohio.com) as the payee.

Express Filing -- $40 with delivery

If you need immediate proof that you're married, I go to the courthouse and file the papers necessary to obtain a certified abstract of marriage and deliver it to you in Franklin county within one business day.
